Nice and cozy feel

Nice, comfortable room and bed. All amenities including Coffee and Tea in the room. Ability to cast to the TV so that you could watch your own apps/TV rather than only Finnish TV and BBC news. Nice breakfast and restaurant. Cozy, homey feel of the hotel reception.

Nothing to add. Perhaps that there is nothing around the hotel other than the train station and big roads.

Finland is a state of mind.

Hotel is near one of the main train stations, with a big taxi station nearby, bus stop in front. University Campus 5m or 10m walk, depending on area of knowledge. Turku has a lot of life down town! Breakfast was diverse, with quality and very fresh. Coffe was not very strong like portuguese like. The room was spaceous, had good amenities, well equiped, and even had a tablet just in case you need to communicate. The hotel has a direct way to the train station which makes it easier to travel. Train to Helsinki only takes 2 hours and is not expensive considering the high cost of living in Finland. The personal were really nice and polite. We tried the restaurant which was quite an experience, worthy every cent. The snack bar allowed to have an healthy meal on sunday, as the restaurant was closed. The environment protection was everywhere, with 6 different packages for recicling.

I would like to have a little bench at the bathroom to put cleaned clothes.

The lights in my room was turned on remotely two times in the morning?? Fortunately I easily fall into sleep and the second time it was time to get up anyway. The lady at the reception said that they had some technical issues with the lights at the hotel.

Almost ideal

Very convenient location, easy to find, very kind personnel, spacious room, nice view, great soundproofing (hotel is above train station, never heard a sound of it), amazing comfortable bed. Would recommend and for sure will be staying here next time I am in Turku.

Feels like not everything is maintained as it should. in some places wood is chipped from door frame, couple of stains on couch and pillows, water running from shower hose before running from shower head. But overall all negative sides are just small issues that are not spoiling the experience of staying at this hotel.

All OK. I recommend.

The breakfast is standard for such a hotel, but it could be said that it is a little above average. The location was excellent, considering the purpose of the trip. It is a twenty-minute easy walk to the city centre, which is quite acceptable. The hotel is above the train station, making it excellent for those travelling by train.

I was a little surprised by the welcome message that the room would be cleaned only every third day. In the end, it wasn't a problem, but considering the price...

Wonderful

Very clean and comfortable, 30 m from the train station. Very new and modern.

A bit out of the center, no restaurants nearby. Breakfast is good, not great; however, all of the signage in breakfast is in Finnish so it was a bit of annoying guesswork.

Great for work trips in the area

Location is great for work trips to the nearby science and business centres. The train station is under the hotel so reaching Helsinki from there is easy. The staff were very friendly and helpful and immediately attended to my needs and questions like adjusting the room temperature. Great breakfast.

In the lobby and cafe area, the staff didn’t clear the used dishes from the tables very quickly, maybe because there was not enough personnel. Another slight discomfort was that the temperature in the common areas felt a little cool, but it was probably because I come from a warmer country and was not used to it yet.

Excellent for a working trip.

Location is super in case you travel by train, and have a meeting near the hotel. I had an event in the Joki Visitor and Innovation Centre, and did not even need to go outdoors from the hotel to the conference site. Staff was very friendly, and the restaurant downstairs is pleasant for a dinner and conversation. They also have a cafe by the reception. The room was spacious. Breakfast was good.

I stayed in the 6th floor - some noise from the highway but it did not disturb me, I slept well. The wall paintings are not my taste - but ok.

Overall it was a peaceful stay as the location is pretty close to all touristy places and food is amazing.

Calmness, breakfast, cleanliness, location, food in their restaurant, vibe

The coffee supplies in the room were not refilled daily and was provided just for one person one time use, even though two guests were staying for two days. We attempted to contact room service twice, but unfortunately, no one responded. Ultimately, we had to go all the way down ourselves to get the coffee.

Wonderful

Breakfast was good. Bistro food quality good. Staff at check-in and in the bistro were very friendly and helpful. Room was very well designed , with some interesting touches. Excellent location next to train station ( but no noise) and near to bus stop, food shop and a short walk to university.

Pillows were lumpy !

Hotel review

I loved how the room was big. The parking was so easy underground. It was worth to pay the parking fee. The staff were so nice and welcoming and very pleasant. As a family we felt welcomed. There was a kids play spot which kids enjoyed a lot and it was easy to have breakfast as a family. They had affordable snacks at the restaurants to buy. The sauna was amazing small and cozy. Gym was very good and clean. It was easy to reach everywhere in the hotel.

The only thing is i wish they provided cleaning service or any large bin or plastic bag for a family with kids staying for three nights. We had two kids. It was quite difficult to dispose off the smelly diapers.

Nice and clean rooms

Breakfast was quite messy. Lots of dirty plates on the tables, some food ran out, food was on the table and tables were generally dirty (place where picking up the food) and some food was not properly prepared (e.g. 7 mins boiled eggs turned out to be totally raw). Price through booking.com was much higher than if directly booked through Sokos hotel web pages.
